The Time Traveler's Guide to Elizabethan England - Ian Mortimer

I love this well-informed, well-written guide to daily life in Elizabethan England, just as I loved its predecessor, The Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England. If you just want to be immersed in the past, pick the same author's Sacred Treason, written under the pen name James Forrester. But if you enjoy history or need the details for your own research, this is the place to begin.

This is #3 on my History Challenge list and #5 on my TBR Challenge list. Goals are 7 and 24, respectively.

For my interview with Ian Mortimer (James Forrester) at the New Books in Historical Fiction site, see http://newbooksinhistoricalfiction.com/2013/12/18/james-forrester-sacred-treason-sourcebooks-2012/.
